Christmas was a low-key time in our home. B. picked up the finest Chinese food in the area late Wednesday afternoon; there was no prepping, no cooking, no major cleanup. The restaurant is family-owned. We’ve decided to do this for every major event. It cost us less, and we had a much better time. Gifts were carefully chosen with great thought. They are useful, attractive, and wanted. Nothing came from any of the stores that we are boycotting. The books B. gave me came from indies, and a couple are used. It was a fabulous Christmas Eve.
Christmas Day wasn’t so great. It was quiet with a heavy sadness over us. Did ICE work on holidays? They break every rule, every law. I can see them busting down the door of a citizen and dragging them out on Christmas Day. The Doomsday Glacier was on my mind, that’s for another day. The environment is what we should be looking at, not the ego of a coward.
Solstice started a new year, not NYE. Stay home NYE, with the 2nd Amendment parading through our country, where are we safe?
We have to have term limits, no bullshit about it. Two terms for Congress, the president, and the destructive, mostly bought and paid for court.
We can’t wait for his term to end.
He has to be removed, along with Vance and the lame cabinet. They are looting the country, killing the people, what are we going to do about it Sit on our backsides and watch? Pretend it will get better after the next election? Move to California? and a Kindle-type program.
No, dear friend, we have to make it better. My vegetarian Chinese meal was delicious. B. had a meat dinner. It was all good.
